On Heroes Day, Ondiege Matthew, Artistic Director of Dance Into Space, Kenya, received the Order of the Grand Warrior from the Kenyan President. This is the highest honour in Kenya!
Ondiege, a choreographer of international repute, is being feted for training, mentoring and providing opportunities to many young artists, including the special needs group. He is a pioneer and practicing contemporary dancer with a career spanning over 33 years. He is also the founder of inclusive dance in Kenya. Through his visionary leadership and dedication, Matthew has transformed Kenya’s dance landscape by breaking barriers, nurturing talent, and championing inclusivity.
