We are pleased to share a moment of pride and inspiration from our organization. Founder and executive director of Katim Disability Awareness and Support Organization Amanuel Solomon has been selected as an ambassador for the #WeCanWork program an initiative led by Light for the World that amplifies the voices and stories of persons with disabilities across Africa.

We Can Work Narrative Competition received hundreds of entries, from essays and art to films and photography, from storytellers aged 18-35 in Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Senegal, Ghana, and Nigeria. Among 16 participants from 7 countries, Amanuel Solomon’s powerful and heartfelt story earned 3rd place in the #WeCanWork Storytelling Competition. This recognition is not only a personal milestone but also a significant achievement for all of us working together to create a more inclusive and empowered society.

We believe this accomplishment reflects the collective efforts of partners like you, who continue to support and stand with us in promoting disability rights and awareness.
